I’m Now Also a Celebrant…

I’m Now Also a Celebrant…

I have been thinking about this for a few years, and have now trained as a wedding, naming and funeral celebrant too. I’m hugely excited about this as I feel it will complement Mindscape well.

My new business is named Heartfelt Ceremony, which is exactly what I aim to provide!

I feel it will be a great use of my people skills, and writing skills, and seems like an incredibly joyful thing to do… even if it’s celebrating the life of somebody who has died, and marking their passing in just the way which they wanted… sometimes emotional but very, very rewarding…

Please let me know if you would like to know more or discuss a ceremony (Mindscape is open as usual!).

Relaunch of Mindscape’s Website!

Relaunch of Mindscape’s Website!

It had been two years since I updated the website, due to being busy with Mindscape, other contracts and life outside of work (as well as being technologically challenged… my fantastic, clever and talented partner is not, however… Thanks M). It’s been given an overhaul to make it more mobile friendly, and, I hope, keeping the feel and design which always attracted positive feedback, combined with a modern touch.

I would love to receive your feedback on how you find it to use, as well as any feedback from our sessions, or updates on how you’re doing!

Training and News 2017

Training and News 2017

Where to start with news? Well, Mindscape has been going for more than eleven years. Every year it has been a joy and a privilege to work with you, my wonderful clients – fabulous, open minded and resilient people with more strengths and resources than you often recognise initially.

I’ve done additional refresher EMDR training, am working towards accreditation and ultimately consultant status.

I’ve completed further training in Inner Child work. Working in this way is so powerful and rewarding!

I’ve completed introductory training in Somatic Experiencing… this tied in well with all the other trauma focused theory, research and practice that I use, and was really inspiring.

I’ve continued to volunteer for a medical charity twice a year, and have continued to donate to charity on behalf of Mindscape – last accounting year I donated £496.94 to mainly humanitarian causes.

Fees

Fees

I offer a free consultation for us to get to know each other, and for me to understand your needs and priorities.

My standard evening rate is £60 per 50 minute session. If you are free daytimes, it drops to £55. In addition to this, I offer a number of discounts for NHS staff, people on low incomes, and to people who book several sessions in advance.

This is competitive compared to other local therapists, especially when you consider my breadth of experience and skills.

Training and News in 2016

I continued my audit looking at outcomes of EMDR in the NHS. I was also allowed dedicated time to run an EMDR clinic.

I did two presentations on EMDR, and one on occupational therapy to my colleagues in the NHS, who were fantastically supportive and interested!

I’ve done training in trauma focused CBT… but have to say I think EMDR is far more effective, empowering, enabling and gentle…

I’ve completed a paediatric hypnotherapy diploma training.

I also really enjoyed running a small charity event, and raised over £100 for British Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and a small Turkish charity supporting refugees, with the support of my amazing colleagues.

I’ve been to Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro!
